KEMANKEŞ 1
Air-Launched Precision Strike / Loitering Attack
Also known as: KEMANKEŞ / Baykar KEMANKEŞ 1 / Miniature cruise drone

KEMANKEŞ 1 overview
KEMANKEŞ 1 is Baykar's compact jet-powered air-launched cruise-drone system for stand-off precision attack. The first-generation design has an optical nose, small swept aerodynamic surfaces, and a turbojet, and is intended to be released by compatible Baykar unmanned aircraft rather than launched from the ground as a conventional aircraft. Baykar describes autonomous flight assistance and optical terminal guidance, while the operator remains responsible for mission authorization and weapon employment.
Baykar claims more than 200 km of range and up to one hour of endurance. Public product material and reporting place the system in roughly the 35 kg class, but exact speed, altitude, dimensions, launch limitations, warhead mass, and configuration-specific accuracy are not treated as independently verified here. KEMANKEŞ 1 must also be distinguished from the separately presented KEMANKEŞ 2; family-level marketing claims cannot automatically be transferred between them.
Baykar unveiled KEMANKEŞ at Teknofest in 2023 and reported the first flight of the KEMANKEŞ 1 variant in June of that year. Subsequent discussion has linked integration work to TB2, TB3, and Akıncı, but public evidence does not establish a broad operational inventory or complete customer list. As of September 12, 2026, the defensible status is a Turkish air-launched strike system in development and qualification, not a universally fielded missile fleet.
