Anvil overview

Anvil is Anduril's reusable rotary-wing counter-UAS interceptor for defeating small hostile drones. Lattice software cues the aircraft, while the original uses airframe-impact interception rather than an explosive warhead.

The original Anvil was publicly described in 2019, which is a reported debut date. Dimensions, speed, range, endurance, payload, and weight are not publicly disclosed, and Anvil-M specifications should not be applied to it.

U.S. counter-UAS development and Marine Corps program reporting connect Anvil with American use. A complete operator list is not public, so possible foreign sales do not establish operational service. Limited public evidence makes role and evidence quality safer comparison points than assumed capabilities or undisclosed operator details. For comparison, publicly documented roles and procurement or testing evidence are more reliable than unsupported inference from incomplete specifications, and they should not be treated as confirmation of unreported characteristics.
