Barracuda-500 overview

Barracuda-500 is an Anduril autonomous air vehicle associated with the U.S. Air Force and Defense Innovation Unit Enterprise Test Vehicle effort. It is intended to explore an attritable, software-defined aircraft for contested strike and collaborative-combat missions, where a lower-cost autonomous platform can carry sensing or mission effects into riskier airspace than a crewed aircraft. The public record supports a test article and acquisition-development program, not a declared operational drone fleet.

Anduril's Barracuda family emphasizes modularity, autonomy, and manufacturing intended to scale more rapidly than traditional aircraft programs.
