Also known as: UNEX / UNEX ground drone / Ukrainian UGV

UNEX UGV overview
The UNEX UGV is a heavy unmanned ground vehicle developed in Ukraine as a direct response to the tactical realities of the Russo-Ukrainian war, where resupplying forward positions and evacuating casualties had become critically dangerous due to persistent drone surveillance and artillery fire. UNEX, a Ukrainian defense startup, designed the platform around a six-wheeled all-terrain chassis capable of crossing trenches, shell craters, and waterlogged ground — conditions that regularly disable conventional military vehicles. The oversized low-pressure tires allow the vehicle to maintain traction and mobility in the worst frontline terrain Ukraine's eastern battlefields have to offer.
The UNEX UGV has been operationally deployed by Ukrainian forces in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, where it has successfully delivered ammunition, food, and medical supplies to positions that could not be reached safely by human-driven vehicles. The platform is operated via remote control from a shielded position up to several kilometers from the front, with a camera system providing the operator with a first-person view of the vehicle's surroundings. In armed configurations, the UNEX can carry a remotely operated weapon station fitted with a heavy machine gun or anti-tank guided missile launcher, transforming it from a logistics asset into a direct fire support vehicle. UNEX represents a broader trend in Ukrainian defense innovation — rapid, conflict-driven development of unmanned systems tailored to the specific demands of high-intensity conventional warfare.
