CA-1 Europa overview

CA-1 Europa is Helsing's autonomous uncrewed combat aerial vehicle, intended as a European loyal-wingman or autonomous combat-aircraft platform. Helsing presents a multi-mission aircraft for contested and denied environments, including deep precision strike, with onboard autonomy and mission systems intended to support human operators rather than a conventional pilot cockpit. Public reporting links the program to UK combat-air ambitions, while Helsing's official material identifies the aircraft and its development effort.

Reliable reporting gives an approximately 11-m length, 10-m wingspan, high-subsonic speed description, roughly four-tonne maximum takeoff weight, and an internal weapons bay. These are reported design figures rather than independently verified flight performance; range, endurance, ceiling, height, propulsion, payload mass, sensor fit, and weapon types are Not publicly disclosed. Helsing says its Europa work is being developed for scalable production and autonomous combat operations, but catalog artwork is not proof of every configuration.

Helsing unveiled CA-1 Europa in September 2025 and says development and flight testing are being conducted through its Grob Aircraft subsidiary. In 2026, reporting documented planned HENSOLDT missile-warning integration and an electronic-attack variant discussed for a possible 2031 service entry. The UK is the publicly reported intended customer or mission context, but Europa remains developmental and is not confirmed as an operational RAF aircraft.
