The Switchblade 600 is a tube-launched loitering munition developed by AeroVironment, designed primarily for anti-armor and anti-materiel missions requiring precision strike at extended ranges. Building on the smaller Switchblade 300, the 600 variant was first revealed in 2020 and uses a warhead that AeroVironment describes as derived from the Javelin anti-tank missile's tandem shaped-charge assembly. The claimed ability to defeat modern armored vehicles, including vehicles with explosive reactive armor, is a manufacturer capability claim rather than a universal combat result. The system is described as man-portable and operator-directed, but configuration-specific weight and engagement performance should be attributed to the relevant variant or source.

The Switchblade 600's operational concept centers on loiter-and-strike capability. AeroVironment describes up to 40 minutes of loiter, operator confirmation, and wave-off before impact; these are published system claims and can vary by mission configuration. Its electro-optical and infrared seeker is intended to provide a real-time video feed and human-in-the-loop target confirmation, but public material does not establish that every delivery configuration has identical sensors or communications.

The United States announced supply of Switchblade systems to Ukraine in 2022, and subsequent reporting has associated the 600 with Ukrainian employment. Public battlefield accounts are incomplete and sometimes describe mixed results against heavily protected armor, so claims of effectiveness against particular T-72, T-80, artillery, or logistics targets should not be generalized to the whole fleet. AeroVironment has continued to market newer 600-family configurations and production capacity, but public reporting does not establish exact deliveries, a uniform Block 20 specification, or a final result in every U.S. requirement competition.
