Shahed-149 Gaza overview
Shahed-149 Gaza is a large reusable Iranian combat and ISR UAV promoted as a higher-capacity Shahed-family system. Iranian presentations associate it with multiple guided bombs, although an operational loadout is not independently confirmed.
Its 21-m span, 215-km/h cruise, 35,000-ft ceiling, and 500-kg payload are reported or claimed. Iranian claims of 2,000 or 4,000 km range and 35-hour endurance conflict with later 25-hour reporting; length, height, and weight are undisclosed.
It was unveiled in 2021 and reportedly delivered to the IRGC in 2022. Iran is the reported operator and no foreign operator is substantiated, so it should be compared cautiously with other reusable combat UAVs. Conflicting Iranian range and endurance claims should remain separate rather than becoming a single inferred performance value. For comparison, publicly documented roles and procurement or testing evidence are more reliable than unsupported inference from incomplete specifications, and they should not be treated as confirmation of unreported characteristics.
