Hero 120 overview

Hero 120 is a tube-launched loitering munition for anti-armor and other high-value precision targets. It uses an EO/IR seeker and operator control, with an integral multipurpose anti-tank warhead.

Published figures include reported 90–260-km/h speed, 60-km range, and 5,500-m ceiling, plus manufacturer-claimed 75-minute endurance, 2.5-kg warhead, and 22-kg system weight. Dimensions are undisclosed, and older references report 60 minutes rather than 75.

The U.S. Army HERO 120 Lethal Unmanned System contract confirms U.S. procurement. Its 2018 introduction is reported and other operators are unconfirmed, which matters when comparing contracts with established operational service. For comparison, publicly documented roles and procurement or testing evidence are more reliable than unsupported inference from incomplete specifications, and they should not be treated as confirmation of unreported characteristics.
