Harpy NG
SEAD / Anti-Radiation
Also known as: Harpy NG / Mini Harpy / Next-Generation Harpy

Harpy NG overview
The Harpy NG (Next Generation), also marketed as Mini Harpy, is an advanced loitering munition developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) as a successor to the original Harpy and Harop systems. The Harpy NG combines both anti-radiation (radar-seeking) and electro-optical guidance capabilities in a single platform, giving operators the flexibility to engage either radar emitters or visually identified targets. The system weighs approximately 45 kg, including a 8 kg warhead, and has an endurance of over 2 hours.
The Harpy NG addresses limitations of its predecessors by providing dual-mode guidance, allowing it to function as both a SEAD weapon against air defense radars and a precision strike weapon against other targets. As of 2025, IAI has marketed the Harpy NG to multiple international customers, positioning it as a versatile solution for ground forces needing organic air defense suppression and precision strike capability. Its significance lies in advancing the loitering munition concept toward multi-mode seekers that can engage diverse target types, reflecting the evolution of precision strike toward more adaptable and versatile platforms.
