Orbiter 5 overview

Orbiter 5 is Aeronautics' tactical ISR and ISTAR UAS, including a stated maritime-surveillance miniature-radar mission. The vehicle-mounted system is designed for autonomous, runway-independent operation and carries two payloads simultaneously.

Aeronautics claims more than 25 hours of endurance and more than 25 kg of payload. Dimensions, speed, range, ceiling, weight, and armament are not publicly disclosed, so the available data describe mission capacity rather than complete flight performance.

Aeronautics launched it at the 2023 Paris Air Show and said it had accumulated hundreds of flight hours. No customer, operator country, or contract was publicly named, making flight-hours claims different from confirmed procurement. For comparison, publicly documented roles and procurement or testing evidence are more reliable than unsupported inference from incomplete specifications, and they should not be treated as confirmation of unreported characteristics.
