Hellcat overview
Hellcat is a small unmanned ISR configuration introduced by Red Cat and its Teal Drones subsidiary at Eurosatory in June 2026. It is built on the Black Widow platform selected by the U.S. Army, but is intended as a globally configurable dual-use aircraft with open architecture, modular payloads, and a rapid upgrade path informed by modern battlefield experience.
The open design is meant to accept changing radios, autonomy software, sensors, and mission payloads without replacing the whole aircraft. Red Cat's initial material focused on supply-chain readiness and mission flexibility rather than publishing a Hellcat-specific data sheet.
DroneStrike therefore does not copy Black Widow performance numbers into the new configuration without confirmation. Hellcat is recorded as a 2026 product introduction whose final customer configurations may differ, with the open architecture likely to be as important to operators as the aircraft's basic flight performance.
